Dear Mr. Novak: Did you know that kale is the most ancient and among the earliest cultivated members of the cabbabge family? It was a favorite in Rome and is particularly popular in Europe today. Nutritionally, it is vastly superior to most vegetables. It is very rich in vitamines A,C, and the mineral calcium Kale is also the highest in protein content of all the cultivated vegetables So you can understand my excitement when I heard that Pizza Hut is the largest consumer of kale in the United States! I was also excited that all of those chubby families that seemed to flock to Pizza Hut were getting such an enormously nutricious leafy green in their diet. But also, upon further research I found that none of the kale is for human consumption, but instead is used to decorate the salad bar! How Appalling!
